Be MAIS UM!

MAIS UM in portuguese means "plus one" or "another one" or "one more".

To be MAIS UM, you only need to have something to offer. It's as simple as that. Your time, your experience, your skills (or even material stuff if you're super busy).

To offer the best you only need to get in touch with us via email or on the phone below. We try to be available as much as we can and we always reply! Once we are in touch - we think of the best way to use what you can offer and you can start making a difference!

How to be MAIS UM?

There are many way to be MAIS UM. Have a look below:

With your time
We always need people to translate documents, help out in admin, doing some community building activities and fundraising. If you feel close to our mission and would like to invest some time with us, let us know. If you are around Rio, we are always promoting events in the community so would be nice for you to meet the guys there. Check it out what's going on in our blog (www.maisum.org) which is constantly updated both in Portuguese and English and get in touch with our local coordinator in Brazil (Marcela) on marcela@maisum.org

With your knowledge
We are always looking for best practice in everything we do - from our strategic planning to our activities directly with the community. So we are always striving to be in touch and seek constant advice from experts in the fields we are close to (advices from social sciences to design or simple accountancy are very welcome!). If you are one and feel that it can be useful for MAIS UM, please get in touch and register as a volunteer.

Among our MAIS UM experts we have architects, educators, lawyers, managers, consultants, teachers, innovation experts, bankers and many more.
