We are very happy to post here that last Saturday (31st July) we had our second action the the Coroado Community!
The event target the elderly and 27 members of the community participated together with a great number for 20 volunteers from several parts of the city!
It was great! For who participated, the fun spirit was obvious!
We had a very interesting discussion with the senior people at the community - some of this eliding in Coroado for over 40 years!
They had the opportunity to tell a bit about the Community's history and their own lives, many very tough from hard work.
We've also taken a good time from the event - which lasted the whole afternoon - to talk about their dreams for the community the highlight of the day!
At the end of the event we have done a workshop with flower arrangements so participants could put their dreams and love for other people in the community. This arrangement was then taken home and some were to be distributed to other community dwellers. The whole point was to create a personal objective to make the Coroado Community a better place to live!
We would like to deeply thank all MAIS UM volunteers who managed to capture in details a lot of information which will definitely be useful for new actions in the Community.
All this information will be collated in the next weeks and as soon as we have all documentation ready we will definitely share with you here!
